Dariusz Stencel, MD, PhD, MBA joins the SDS Optic team

SDS Optic S.A. is developing its proprietary inPROBE^® technology platform for real-time medical diagnostics in oncology, as well as infectious, viral, bacterial, and fungal diseases, and for health monitoring. The company announced that Dr. Dariusz Stencel, MD, MBA, has joined the team as Medical Liaison. He will be responsible for the company's relations with the international medical and scientific community and will support the commercialization process of the inPROBE^® technology. He will also assist the medical research team in conducting clinical trials related to the market introduction of an optical microsensor for detecting biomarkers of HER2-positive breast cancer.

Dr. Dariusz Stencel, MD, has nearly 20 years of experience working in R&D teams, conducting clinical trials, developing and launching medicinal products and medical devices, and implementing growth strategies for companies in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors—primarily in the fields of oncology, hematology, and hemophilia. He has collaborated with well-known brands such as Novo Nordisk, Baxalta, Roche, AstraZeneca, and Bayer, as well as with academic and scientific communities in these areas across Poland, many European countries, the US, Canada, Brazil, and Japan.

Dr. Dariusz Stencel is a graduate of the Poznań University of Medical Sciences, where he earned a doctoral degree in medical sciences. He worked for many years as a pediatrician and later at the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology in Poznań, serving as a clinician, author of scientific publications, principal investigator in clinical trials, and academic teacher, including in the English-language division. He completed his MBA studies at the WSB University in Poznań in cooperation with Franklin University (USA). He is a recipient of scholarships from the Children’s Medical Care Foundation, Washington, USA, and the American Center of Polish Culture, Washington, USA. His scientific achievements include 150 publications and presentations at major international scientific conferences.

At SDS Optic, Dr. Dariusz Stencel will primarily focus on building and developing relationships within the medical and scientific communities in Poland, Europe, and the US (including with influential figures known as Key Opinion Leaders). He will also be responsible for establishing and managing partnerships with pharmaceutical and medical companies. Dr. Dariusz Stencel will support the R&D department with his expertise in conducting clinical trials of the inPROBE^® microsensor for the diagnosis of HER2+ breast cancers. Additionally, he will represent the company at selected conferences, congresses, and scientific symposia, contributing to market education efforts, marketing communication, and the promotion of the company on the international stage.
