SDS Optic S.A., which is developing the fiber-optic molecular diagnostics technology inPROBE, has announced that Włodzimierz Stasiak has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The primary task of the new CFO will be to prepare the company for its transition to the main market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, which will include, among other things, the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS/IAS) within the SDS Optic Group.

Włodzimierz Stasiak is an experienced manager who leverages a deep understanding of finance to drive innovation and streamline business processes. His management approach has led to significant improvements in efficiency and profitability in the companies he has overseen. With over 20 years of professional experience across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, banking, and finance, he has built his expertise through collaborations with brands such as Servier Polska, Polski Holding Nieruchomości, PKN Orlen, and Citibank Handlowy.

"SDS Optic is a unique company with an excellent team and innovative technology that could be a breakthrough in medical diagnostics. Supporting initiatives aimed at improving quality of life and health is a great privilege. I am convinced that this collaboration will lead to many successes, and my competencies will allow me to effectively support the company in developing innovations and driving growth while ensuring solid financial management and operational optimization in the context of the rapidly changing medical and technology industry environment," says Włodzimierz Stasiak, CFO of SDS Optic S.A.

The company SDS Optic recently announced the achievement of two milestones on the path to commercializing its technology.

After completing Part I of the clinical study titled "An open, multicenter, single-arm clinical study on the safety and efficacy of the inPROBE® diagnostic microsensor designed to assess HER2 receptor expression in a population of women at high risk of breast cancer" (SDS-HER-01-2018), the Company prepared an official report summarizing the obtained results. The positive outcome regarding safety and the preliminary confirmation of correlation between the inPROBE study and results obtained through traditional methods (IHC and FISH) are encouraging.

SDS Optic is intensively preparing for the second phase of clinical trials and the commercialization of its technology. We are at a point where it has become essential to expand our competencies with highly qualified specialists who will help the Company effectively transition from the R&D stage to a company commercializing its products. The Chief Financial Officer's task is to support SDS Optic in maintaining a healthy financial balance. This is particularly important in the biotechnology industry, which is high-risk and has significant capital requirements. Włodzimierz Stasiak is a qualified specialist with many years of experience in managerial positions across various industries. He is a great asset to the Company, and his expertise will undoubtedly help us refine our practices and meet strict financial and accounting requirements. We warmly welcome him to our team." –said Marcin Staniszewski, CEO of SDS Optic.

At the end of last year, the Company also announced the production readiness of optical components for the inPROBE system. The exceptionally high quality of the manufactured fiber optic probes was confirmed by an independent center specializing in optoelectronics, Orange Polska.

At the beginning of 2024, the Company received the first tranche of financing of up to EUR 10 million from the European Investment Bank, which solidified SDS Optic's position as a company ready to meet demanding due diligence processes at an international level. According to the Company's Management Board, this is the best time to further strengthen the company's financial management, not only to maintain this level but also to continuously improve it.

"After two years on the NewConnect market, having developed effective practices in reporting and market communication, we are now also beginning preparations to transition to the main market. This involves many obligations, including the adoption of IFRS. The company is executing its long-announced plan, which included strengthening our competencies with an experienced Chief Financial Officer. To introduce Włodzimierz Stasiak to our shareholders, we plan to host a webinar after the summer and the publication of the quarterly report, and we invite you to join us. More details will be announced soon" – adds Mateusz Sagan, Chief Operating and Business Development Officer at SDS Optic.
