Project value: PLN 5 603 353.88

Amount of contribution from European Funds: PLN 3 952 432.82

As part of the project, the following will be carried out:

  • Industrial research as part of the R&D component
  • Experimental R&D work as part of the R&D component
  • Pre-implementation work as part of the implementation component
  • Direct implementation in the implementation component

Development of a simulator for designing the composition of coating layers

  • Stage 1: Integration of physical and chemical coatings with biocidal coatings
  • Stage 2: Development of coatings with unique properties
  • Stage 3: Implementation of coatings into production along with product quality control
  • Stage 4: Implementation of coatings into production along with product quality control

Target group:Potential recipients of the multi-layer multifunctional coating technology for application on glass surfaces/lenses, developed within the framework of this project, include manufacturers of eyeglass lenses, astronomical telescopes, glass products, and optical devices and instruments, for whom the Company's technology can complement currently used techniques. More broadly, the Company's research and development activities may attract the interest of specialists and scientists not only from the optical industry but also from end-use sectors such as healthcare, aviation, solar energy, and sensors. The initial beneficiaries of the Company’s operations will be residents, universities, scientific and research institutions, optical industry enterprises, and local government units of the Lublin Voivodeship, since the Company is an active member of the Lublin Medicine Cluster, its capital group is based in Lublin, and most of its R&D work is conducted there. In the long term, the target group at the end of the project’s supply chain will be the residents of the region affected by the Company’s operations. Thanks to the development of innovative production methods, residents of the Lublin Voivodeship will gain access to high-quality products. Implementing the research project in the Lublin region may contribute to an increase in the region’s economic potential. The development of the optical sector and related end-use industries may generate new jobs and contribute to the growth of the local economy and employment. The identification of the above-mentioned recipient groups stems from their direct interest in and benefits from the project’s outcomes. Companies will have the opportunity to bring new products to market, research organizations will be able to expand their scientific competencies, and residents of the Lublin Voivodeship will benefit from improved quality and access to innovative products. All of these groups will contribute to regional development and the strengthening of its market position.

Expected results:Development of coatings with high optical (anti-reflective, anti-condensation), chemical (resistance to aggressive environments), and biocidal (elimination of microorganisms) properties; and enabling controlled and uniform layer deposition, which is crucial for preserving the material's properties.
